Following its successes in Australia and the USA, Indigo Technologies is now marketing its world leading environmental technology for air pollution control into Europe and Asia. Its main product, The Indigo Agglomerator, is an easily retrofitted device which agglomerates fine particles created by fossil (coal/ wood) burning furnaces prevalent in the energy and cement industries to allow their extraction by electro-static precipitation or other methods. Key Indigo Agglomerator installations indicate performance improvement as great as a 70% reduction in opacity, providing reduction from 14% opacity down to 4%, creating a clear stack (emission plume). The improvements may vary depending on plant details and fuel types and Indigo Technologies should be contacted for further information.
The fine particles removed by the Indigo Agglomerator are the most dangerous to the environment as they contain the majority of heavy metal toxins (cyanide etc.) and are easily carried by air movement, sometimes travelling large distances. These fine particles are also the most respirable, resulting in a major health risk and can be detrimental to the global greenhouse conditions.

New legislation is currently being developed to address fine particulate emissions (PM 2.5) and the Indigo Agglomerator will provide a potential solution to becoming compliant with new standards. In addition to removing the fine particulate, the technology may also have a beneficial effect on bag house filters and scrubber performance as well as other pollutant removal devices. Ongoing developments are providing other applications and Indigo Technologies can be contacted for further information

Another important benefit provided by the Indigo Agglomerator is its ability to allow the plant to have a greater choice in fuels, which could lower running and maintenance costs or reduce other pollutant concentrations (sulphur) whilst still maintaining regulatory compliance emission levels that could not have previously been met without.

This unique Australian technology, which is covered by international patents, is in high demand throughout the world due to the increasing requirement for energy production with a greater environmental awareness and pollution control legislation.
